USB3Test is an easy to use Windows based application that allows users to quickly check that all the USB ports on their PC are functioning correctly and allows them to determine the maximum speed of these ports (and hence whether they are configured as expected).  USB3Test is designed for use in conjunction with PassMark USB3 test device and will test USB 1, USB 2, and USB 3 ports at Full-speed (12Mb/s),  High-speed (480Mb/s) and Super-speed (5Gb/s)  rates.

 

PassMark USB3 test device provides the following quick LED indications:

PassMark USB3 Loopback Plug

Error (Red) - The USB 3.0 loopback  plug has device transceiver errors during the Loopback test (this may be for example due to poor quality cabling)
Receive (Yellow) - Data is being received by the USB3 device
Transmit (Green) - Data is being transmitted by the USB3 device
Power (Orange) - The PC USB port is supplying power

 

PassMark USB3 test device provides the following quick LCD indications:

Voltage ·Voltage on the usb power bus
Connection Speed - Speed at which the device has connected

PassMark USB3Test software provides the following quick and easy to use capabilities:

A summary of the configuration of each port ·Full-speed, High-speed or Super-speed;
Loopback and verification of specified data to allow for reliability testing of USB 1, USB 2 and USB 3 ports.
Benchmarking the speed of USB ports to determine whether the USB port is optimally configured. Note: there are many reasons why a USB port may under-perform ·see USB Overview.
An intuitive display of results both textually (color coded for different test functions and display information) and graphically (color coded for levels of read and write speed).
Saving results for comparison against different configurations.
Multiple ports can be tested using either the one USB3 device or for efficiency a USB device per port.
