1/Oct/2004
PassMark
Software has released 64bit versions of its flagship products, PerformanceTest
and BurnInTest Professional. These applications will allow the 64bit
benchmarking and stability testing of the next generation of hardware.
Major changes from the 32bit versions include
- The support of up to 512GB of RAM (half a terabyte)
- The removal of the legacy code for MMX and AWE,
- New 64bit device drivers for use with our USB test hardware
- Code that will allow testing of the 64bit data buses.
These native 64bit applications support Windows XP 64bit and Windows 2003 server 64 bit. Along with the AMD64 CPUs and Intel 64bit CPUs with EM64T. This 64bit software will NOT work with Windows XP 32bit, Windows 2000, Windows 98 nor 95. You will of course need both a 64bit CPU AND a 64 bit version of Windows to use this software.
