When WirelessMon is running is the Wireless Zero Configuration service disabled? This should happen automatically but if the service is still running or another program is accessing the network card it can prevent WirelessMon opening the driver.
WirelessMon can be run with the DEBUGMODE command line paramater, an example is shown in the help file in the Debug section. |

I am not able to start wireless zero configuration manually, getting

If you open the properties for the Wireless Zero Config in the services section of the control panel and go to the dependencies tab there should be two dependencies, NDIS usermodel I/O protocol and Remote procedure protocol. It seems like something is preventing NDIS from being able to start or it has been corrupted in some way, especially if WZC can't be started either as it relies on NDIS to function as well.
You may need to try removing the driver for your network card and re-installing a new version. It may also help to remove / re-install Intel ProSet as well. The latest driver for your card can be downloaded from this page at Intel, http://downloadcenter.intel.com/scri...ProductID=1637. Last edited by TimR; 04-20-2007 at 07:16 AM. |
