So the system i'm planning on testing this on is Vista, which does not have DirectX 9.0c installed. I don't have a problem installing it, but is there any way to make it a little more seamless??
I'd like to automate the DirectX installation, and then when that's completed, run the Batch file i created to run Burn in test. possible?? |

To automate the installation of the DirectX 9.0c Direct3D file that is needed for BurnInTest 5.3 (and PerformanceTest 6.1) you can just use a command script to run the DirectX installer included in the BurnInTest install package. The file to run is:
DXSETUP.exe you can specify the commandline parameter "/silent" if you don't want to view the User interface. To get the DirectX files, you can install BurnInTest once and just take the files from the installation directory: DXSETUP.exe dsetup32.dll DSETUP.dll dxupdate.cab OCT2006_d3dx9_31_x86.cab Alternatively, you could just copy the file d3dx9_31.dll file to the BurnInTest directory. You can install BurnInTest once and just take the file from e.g. C:\WINDOWS\system32 Regards, Ian |
