Sluggish Laptop ?

Hi all . What do you make of this configuration , and Norton 6.0 Performance Test's verdict ?

Intel centrino Pentium M 1.73ghz , 2mb cache , 533
1gb ddr ram 533 , PC 4200
80 gb hard drive , 5400 rpm
256 mb geforce go 7800GTX
1680X1050


RESULT = 420

( My System info says only 565 out of the 1000 memory is available .....)

420 is a good result for a 1.7 Pentium M. Other Pentium M's around this speed get overall PassMark ratings of 290 - 350.

If the machine is sluggish then is probably isn't becuase of the hardware. More likely the problem is with some softwre you have running.

It is normal that not all your RAM is available. A big chunk will be used by the disk cache (when nothing else requires it).
