Video test Crashes Dell Laptop

The video test crashes my Dell Inspiron.

It was able to run when I got it a couple of weeks ago, I reinstalled the OS and software and now it gets to the full screen plane test and crashes.

I've reinstalled the ATI drivers (It has an ATI Radeon X1400 graphics card), DirectX, MS .NET, the MS .NET fix and it still crashes my machine.

It works on my older computers and on my Inspiron when it had the Dell junkware on it.

You refer to the full screen plane test, so I am assuming you are referring to PerformanceTest V6.0, rather than MonitorTest?

Assuming this, there was a bug in earlier build of V6.0 where the plane test could crash. This was corrected in build 1009. Please download the latest build from:
http://www.passmark.com/download/pt_download.htm

If you are already using V6.0 build 1011 of PerformanceTest, or you really are referring to MonitorTest, then please send me the crash address, something like:
"Error: Access violation at 0x00405D3F (tried to read from 0x038DA000), program terminated. "
