Default Video dropping frames - ignore option

    Hi guys,

The Video playback drops frames on various machines, which is not really an error because the cpu, mem, 2d, 3d tests are also running.

I am running BIT basically to run the CPU at 100% and to stress the Graphics Chip, so I dont need precise video codec checking.

I tried setting the Video playback Duty Cycle to 100% and other tests to 50% but it still drops frames.

I realise I can simply disable video playback, but I prefer to include a video playback test.

Could you possibly add an option to disable the frame-dropping check?

    cheers

There are several errors you can disable by modifying the BITErrorClassification.txt, as described in the "Detailed Error log history" section of the help file.

The "Video Playback is dropping samples" error can be disabled by changing the following line from:
    182,"Video Playback is dropping samples",WARNING,
    to
    182,"Video Playback is dropping samples",NONE,

Note: You should make a copy of your new BITErrorClassification.txt file and restore it after any upgrades to BurnInTest.

    Best regards,
    Ian (PassMark)
