I recently installed a pair of Mushkin CHronos SSD in RAID 0 and was amazed at how much faster my system booted.

Yes, some big score there.

I agree with the comment about the SSD.
Switching from a HDD to a SSD (especially stripped SSDs) makes an old system feel brand new.

I'm currently pushing the other end of the spectrum. I just benched a Pentium II 266.

CPU Rating = 80 for the win of slowest thing recorded to date "according to low end CPU charts"

I'm going to try and crush that score with a 486 DX2 running Nix later this week.
