Default Small fonts in BIT Linux

    Hello.

    Can someone help?

I cant see the characters in the BIT Linux User interface.
    They appear as minimal.

Please analyse the following screenshots to understand what I mean:

    and

Im using a Debian based OS and all other programs installed are functioning OK.

    What could cause this?

    Thank you.

You should first try using version 2.1 as this is a slightly newer legacy version (from the download page at http://www.passmark.com/download/bitlinux_download.htm).

If you still have this problem you can try running "qtconfig" to check the font type and size settings for Qt and if this still doesn't help try using the -F command line to try and force a font size change (eg -F 10).

    Hello Tim!

    I will try your suggestions.

    First I will try v2.1
Can I use my present license key in that version?
    I was using v2.0 build1006

    Thank you so much Tim.

    Hello.

I installed qtconfig, but if I run it, I also get the same strange behaviour (extremely small fonts).

Using "qtconfig -F 10" makes no difference.
The same small fonts in the screen are shown.

Using another machine I was able to understand where I could configure the font size by using qtconfig menus.
But even so, qtconfig app and BIT always have that same stange behaviour.

    Here is my qtconfig screen:

BIT for Linux v2.1 (like you suggested) also has the same problem.

But one thing I noticed is that if I use the new 3.0 BIT for Linux version (TRIAL mode), everything goes OK and the fonts are correctly displayed on screen!

    What could be causing this?

BurnInTest V3 uses a much newer version of QT to display its user interface, so it looks like the older version of Qt on your system has had it's configuration altered in some way to make it unusable or it isn't fully compatible with the installed Linux distribution.

If you can use BurnInTest V3 on the same system then it's more likely to be a compatibility issue with the old Qt version.
