Should I be getting higher performance test scores?

This is the first time I've used it, so bear with me. In total, I got a 564. My setup is the following:

Intel Core 2 Duo T7300 2.00 GHZ 4MB L2 Cache
4GB DDR2 RAM
nVidia 8700M (under nvidias site its listed as having a max memory of 512MB, but under dxdiag its listed as having 2.2GB)

During the part in performance test when its testing your graphics card, I got a solid 47 FPS during the plane fly by part, but during the part with the tree, I got a measly 2.2 FPS

I assume this is a laptop that is now a few years old.

Would really need to look at each individual score to know if you could / should do better. Laptops are always a bit under powered compared to desktops.
