Default BIT6 - Not Enough Free Space

When I run the BIT on customer's notebooks, I sometimes get this error because the customer has a lot of data filling up their drive.

When this occurs, I have the testers use a different drive for testing. But, I don't want to fail the test. I'd rather do a preemptive check.

So is there a specific amount of free space required for the disk test to run? I looked in the user guide, but couldn't find anything.

I would need to check but it is going to be at least as large as the size of the test file.

So if you reduce the size of the test file (e.g. go from 1% of the disk to 0.2%) you should lower the requirement.

Ah, I gotcha. I set the threshold to 0.2%. We'll see it goes.

    Thanks

Needless to say running the disk test on a near full drive isn't going to test much of the surface of the drive.
