direct x test
ive recently upgraded my card (though not by much) from a radeon HD 5450 1gb to a GeForce GT 520 2gb card and though my ingame performances are MUCH better... the direct X test shows the exact same frame rate (around 6 fps) im really confused why its showing that horribly low but the card will run skyrim and swtor on very high - max settings without issues. what am i missing?

You didn't mention which i7 you have, but most are pretty good CPUs.
Just looked up these video cards. Both are very low end cards.
The DirectX10 test is a pretty heavy test. So frames rates under 10 frames/sec are normal for low end cards. Would be interesting to see that results for all the 3D tests. Would be hard to believe none of them changed at all.
