question about SLI

im pure gamer, and i was wondering if using SLI, for example: two geforce 7800 GT 256 mb can get my benchamark (FPS) and quality better on games?

I ask this cause someone told me that if I use SLI is just for the use of 2 monitors.


Can anyone confirm this?

ATM i have 1 Geforce 7800 GT

SLI is not only for two monitors.

But you do need two video cards. (in the future they will combine the 2 cards into 1)

SLI can work well on a few games, but if you are not playing one of these special games, then SLI is just a waste of money.
