    Default Paste from Word Document

Occasionally on trying to paste from a word document (eg. an old test plan), by right mouse clicking on a text area eg. "Test Description and Steps", and selecting paste, the pasted text does not appear.

If paste is selected twice, only then does the text appear.

Not a huge issue, more a minor annoyance.

the html editor that testlog uses could be described as 'lacking'. It would be nice to see an 'industrial strength' editor take its place.

Developing a fully blown HTML editor would take a lot of resources, and it's not really a product we're looking to develop (especially given the number of HTML editors already out there).

What we are planning to do is allow third party HTML editors to be used, something we will probably look at doing for a point release before the next major version.

    Hi,

It should be noted that I was pasting into the textarea of the form, not the html editor.

Also, the pasted text was appearing totally underlined, as if a spelling error. Right mouse clicking on most correctly spelt and recognised words caused this to dissappear on that word (although the underline remained in spaces between words).

As an aside, the spelling suggestions for some of our software product names caused some amusement

How much text are you pasting, and with what sort of formatting? I haven't seen any instances of having to paste twice, though it may be a field selection problem, if you left click on the field first and then right click for paste does it behave the same?

If the there was a lot of Word style formatting in the text it might affect the spell checker, seeing it's expecting plain text.

The spelling engine is a third party module, so unfortunately we have no control over the suggestions offered
