I just noticed the Seek Error Rate is climbing 5 points @second......:eek:

You will have to talk to Seagate to know exactly what the Raw number mean.

But big raw numbers are not abnormal for the Seagate drives.

The 'worst' and 'threshold' values are the ones to watch.

BTW, I see that you are using an older version of DiskCheckup (probably v2.0 build 1002 or earlier) that reports the device capacity wrongly. The latest version is v2.0 build 1004 and can be downloaded here (http://www.passmark.com/ftp/diskcheckup.exe).

Well it's been a few months and now I bought Vista.

I have the same "error" though.
Just wanted to post a update.
I do see some differences in the rates but I dont know what that means.

while your here and instead of a new topic, I cant seem to get any info from my SATA, I use the VIA chipset SATA port.
Any way to get that info?
