View Full Version : Using Baselines to find fast memory mobo's

A software application I use a lot performs well on machines that score highly in memory tests, Allocate Small Block, Read Cached, and Read Uncached are most important. It seems highly sensitive to just these metrics.

It looks like the Asus P5W DH would be a good motherboard to build a machine with for this app. Anyone know of a board that performs better in those 3 memory tests than this one?

Almost all the Core 2 motherboards do well in this test. e.g. Gigabyte 965p-DQ6 & anyting with the nForce 680i chipset. Of course a fast CPU and good RAM also help.
