Questions about the new version

I'm running an evaluation copy of your software to see if it will fit my company's needs. I noticed on your web-site that you had a new version of TestLog scheduled to be released in Sept06. The evaluation copy is version 2.1.....has version 3 been released yet? Also, do you have a list of the fixes and new features that will be included? And one last thing - will the license pricing change?

We are still working on V3. It will probably be another month or so before it is released. But if you purchase V2 now, the upgrade will be free. The price will not change.

V3 is more configurable, allows HTML style text formatting and will have an additional, optional, web interface for the main functions.

We'll try and post a comprehensive feature list in the next week.

Some of the new changes;
A new standalone CGI version is available for viewing databases over the internet.
New look icon and splash screen graphic
Added HTML editing of test cases to allow for greater formatting options.
Customisable status values.
Added a new system to allow greater customisation of the display of items in TestLog. Most items will have a HTML template file that can be edited to change the style and order of displayed fields
Changed behaviour of the "Show status icons in tree view" option so that the icons are updated after the tree view is displayed so TestLog will load a database faster
Added linking to test cases from other test cases
Build and Version fields are now a drop down list and can be edited in the Customise Fields dialog
Columns in list views can be hidden/shown by right clicking on the list headers
Moved <history_entry> tags in project test cases to be within the <project_test_case> tags so it should now be interpreted by xml readers correctly
