i want to use this software to test performance between two nodes on a network and from the documentation it appears to do that. however, although one node in the network will remain static, the other nodes i want to test will change. specifically i want to test a dozen scenarios (i.e. with vpn, without vpn, different network gear, etc. ) but i don't want to have to buy a whole bunch of licenses. i don't mind buying two licenses (one for each end of the test). is there some sort of run time version that i can simply load onto a USB stick and move it from computer to computer as i do my testing? And if not, how do you suggest i accomplish my task?
thanks

Yes, you can install the software to a USB drive. See these FAQ.
Q. How many licenses will I need if I purchase PerformanceTest? (http://www.passmark.com/support/performancetest/license_keys.htm#How_Many_Keys_Will_I_Need)

Q. How can I setup PerformanceTest to run from a CD or USB memory stick under Windows? (http://www.passmark.com/support/performancetest/setting_up_pt_from_a_cd_or_usb_memory_stick.htm)
