Don't get me wrong. This topic and its question is also interesting for the latest HighEnd Performance CPUs/Systems, but let me compare two older/average systems: O/S Windows 7 64-bit, tested and compared using
PerformanceTest 7.0 64-bit

SYSTEM 1: (This System)
AMD Athlon64 X2 6400 @3,4MHz Overclocked, older Motherboard, 3GB RAM

SYSTEM 2: (Willi's System - found in Baseline database)
AMD Athlon64 X2 6400 @3,2MHz, new Motherboard, 6GB RAM

It didn't take long to see that my CPU-Mark really looks bad compared to Willie's system even my CPU runs slightly faster (over-clocked 3.2 < 3.4).
Looking up both systems the only difference: Mainboard and the amount and speed of RAM.

What settings, which system components effect the CPU-Mark the most? CPU>BUS<RAM
So the old saying is still right: First invest your money into more RAM (especially on 64-bit systems).

My guess is that the "Wills" system is running the 64bit release of PerformanceTest on 64bit Windows, and your system is running the 32bit release of PerformanceTest.
