How can I tell if my computer has a BIOS that supports SMART?

(Fujitsu A6120 laptop, Vista Home Premium, Hitachi hdd, almost 2 yrs old).

Can I simply download your application and see if it works, without doing any harm if it is not supported?

Will it notify me if it is not supported?

Yes, just try it out. We only attempt to read the values. If they aren't available no harm is done. Almost all machines 2 years old will be fine.
