Some of my keys don't work...

Hi,

I have a HP pavilion zv5000 laptop and suddenly, the following keys have stopped working:

Spacebar
Arrow Keys (up and down)
Backspace
Return/Enter Key

Am having to use the onscreen virtual keyboard to type, very annoying!

Any help would be gratefully recieved!

Do the keys work in BIOS?
If they work in BIOS you have a software problem. Maybe malware.
If they don't work in BIOS, they might all be dead. They are the keys that would get the most use.
Also trying pugging in an external USB keyboard and see if that works.
