Hi!

I've recently upgraded from a single core Celeron D 356 (3.33GHz) to a dual core E1400 (2.0GHz). On the PassMark CPU List, the 'Celeron D 3.33GHz' has a mark of 388, which isn't too far away from the value I measured of of 464.

However, the mark for the E1400 on the list is given as 1014, while I only measured 625. Even the E1200 is supposed to be 909.

I've checked that I've got the latest BIOS for my recently purchased Gigabyte GA-945GCM-S2L motherboard, and the E1400 is listed as one of the supported CPUs. I also ran the SiSoft Sandra CPU benchmarks, which all showed at least a 2x improvement over the older Celeron, and the 3DMark2001 score went up from 18300 to 23000 (approx).

So is there something wrong with my system

Cheers
matt

Sorry - just read the 'Causes and Solutions for a slow (http://www.passmark.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1057)PC' thread. My 'number of processes' was set to 1

Score now a much healthier 1152 :D
