Just got a CPU Mark of 24,000+, is this a record?

Can anyone guess what kind of hardware? :P

The current record is a 8 Way quad core Opteron 8354 (http://www.cpubenchmark.net/cpu_lookup.php?cpu=%5B8-Way%5D+Quad-Core+AMD+Opteron+8354)(32 cores in total).

But I would expect that score to be smashed by new multi-CPU Core i7 machines coming out later this year.

Yes, but I think the Core i7 should get the same performance or better with something like half the number of Cores.
