Performance 5.0 Disk Test

During performance 5.0 disk tests, when a read is performed is the data being verified, or is this test simply reading whatever data is out on the disk (good or bad) ?

There is no checking of the data by the PerformanceTest application. PerformanceTest is a benchmark application so it concerned with measuring speed rather than data correctness. (Doing a verify would slow down the data transfer)

If you want to use check your hard disk for reliability, use our other product, BurnInTest.
