Problem login page (Testlog web)

Hello, i have installed testlog in an Apache web server running CGI. Everything seems to be working well but when i try to log in in the main page of testLog it returns to the same page =/

I read some posts of this forum and i saw that enabling testlog debugger might help and thats what i did. Here is the log erro, sorry i really don't know how to solve this. Anyone to help me in this issue?

From the debug file it seems to be creating the session ID, cookie and file ok but failing to read it back. If you try to log in and then check the directory you set up for :TEMPDIRABS: is there a .tmp file there? Also what value have you got set for :TIMEOUT:.

Well i asked to a friend to try log on in the page and i just opened the :TEMPDIRABS folder to watch if the .tmp file was being created. Unfortunately i didnt see anything...maybe the .tmp was created quickly...but i guess it isnt being created. So whats wrong? I dont know if this can be a permission issue or not...i am logged on as admin in my PC.

It shouldn't be a permissions problem creating the files, as the debug file wouldn't be created and warnings would have been displayed when running in debug mode.

Could you please try this build running in debug mode, some more output has been added around the session creation, http://www.passmark.com/ftp/TestLogCGI-debug.zip.

Is the hard drive you are using formatted using FAT or NTFS? It's possible there might be a problem retrieving the creation time of the sessions files and could be trying to delete it straight away if the drive is FAT formatted.

First of all i need to tell you that i have installed teslogweb with success in another PC running Windows XP in a NTFS partition. It runs over a WAMP server that has CGI previous configured...the windows 2000 (the one where teslogweb isnt working) has its apache server configured manually with CGI.

Aswering your question...yes the partition is FAT32 running over a windows 2000 system. Here is the log file created by testlog running with that new CGI file you sent me. I saw that you have added many lines at log file...i tried to log in twice without success as you can see:

Thanks for that, i believe the problem exists due to an issue between the function getting the file time and FAT format not storing the time correctly/accurately and the session file times out straight away. Once a fix is ready i'll post a new link.

Hi mate =) i have tested this new .cgi file in my web server running at Win 2000 and for my surprise it worked...BUT i verify that the script isn't working propertly when a new user tries to log in the page. In my webserver running windows XP with an NTFS partition when an user tries to log in it shows a message like this "Unable to log in as the maximum licence user (1)..."

Well ...all we know that the free key that already comes with teslog permit only 1 user per server. BUT with that CGI you sent me when another user tries to log in the page it kills the user who is logged on...it simply creates a new session for this new user...deleting the .tmp session file of the other one!! I don't know if you understood my problem...but i need this working soon because i work in a company that uses your software to make tests and they wanna buy around 11 licences of your software to use at web at same time. Unfortunately we don't have a XP server running in a NTFS partition...we are gonna buy it in around 3 months...but we need use the teslog web right now in this sever. Can you fix this issue?
