Connection Issues with VMware

Hello,
I am trying to get wirelessmon working on vmware. I can pick up an adapter but it seems to think that it is a PCI ethernet card, and doesn't seem to recognize that it is in fact a wireless card. Has anyone had this issue? I cant seem to change the adapter to anything else. Thanks for any input!

Virtual machines emulate hardware in general. So you don't get direct access to hardware, like the video card. So most 3D games don't work well in virtual machines. In a similar fashion I would be a little surprised if the VM at had full wireless functionality.
